Naguit Residence, New Year 2007, Using Charlie’s laptop
As I gather myself up after jumping up and down with Marjorie and Rod, and regaining my heart rate to my normal 65BPM, I couldn’t help but look back and think about what I accomplished last year (feels so weird saying that, knowing that it was just a minute ago).
The year started with my application getting accepted for the BEACON program at Wright State University. By the last week of January, I had my panel interview scheduled and got over my nervousness/worries/anxieties, the week after. And finally, got my acceptance letter by March.
By May, I got my Pre-med degree at the University of Dayton.
By June, I got all my BEACON pre-requisites done at Sinclair.
November 17, I survived my first quarter of BEACON, which was filled with blood, sweat, and tears! (Let me just borrow that, Sir Winston Churchill).
After careful evaluation, I’d say, it has been my year… afterall, it was the year of the dog.
Sleepover

Rizza and I attended Millicent and Marjorie’s pre-New Year dinner. Their mom, Tita Marilou, asked us if we wanted to spend the night over. Of course, we said we wanted to. I texted Erick to tell mom so she wont worry.
I made some sushi, since I didn’t have much time to prepare for anything else.
We took a lot of pictures, the five of us (Rizza, Marjorie, Millicent, and Raymond). Raymond’s so funny when Millicent and I were taking pictures of Marjorie. He was like “Stick dem butt out baby,” and “Yup, that’s it, you’re natural!”

We watched Black Christmas, The Fog, and The Exorcism of Emily Rose. M&M are scary movie-freaks! I’m telling you.
Tita Marilou gave Rizza and I a candle holder. It’s wrought iron, with an intricate pattern. It’s very beautiful!
We met their extended family, and some of their family friends.
We left at 2pm. I borrowed The Red Queen from Dr. Campbell, their stepdad (This is rather an interesting matter, I’ll make a separate posting about it).

Mylezzz! We had so much fun last night! Btw, hindi pa rin pumapalya yung boses mo, talo pa si Nina(?). Puro 99 eh noh. *We’re not worthy, we bow down to you* hehehe
Thanks again! sorry, it seems like we trashed your place.
Thanks to tita & tito, sa uulit-ulitin. lols
I’m glad Alexz came over, too. Namiss ko ang kakulitan nya.
And for the nth time Bryan, I wasn’t drunk. Hello, it’s just Tilt noh? Hehehe. Grabeh naman kayo. Plus I didn’t have the rash, so the alcohol content must really be low.
Carlo, I was surprised you know songs by Spandau Ballet. It’s so weird, knowing that you have this gothic style going on.
Jackieeee, ang kulit mo talaga. Nakakatuwa ka!
Rizza looks like Mt. Krakatoa exploded on her! Sobrang red, andaming anik-anik. hehe. Sorry, we annoyed the heck out of you before we picked you up.
Baby girl Marge, I took a pic of you while you were sleeping soundly. Hehe will post it later.
Charlie, ba’t hindi ka kumanta? Nagpa-practice ka pa yata sa shower before you went to Mylene’s place eh.

So, what the hell am I thankful for again? I am thankful…
- To myself, for surviving this semester and for pulling off a 4.0 despite attending 2 schools (1 full-time, the other part-time), and having a part-time job, and not to mention volunteering in the hospital [whoa anlamig S#*&! (F$%# off gimme a break)]
- To Chael for his patience, love and understanding.
- To my family, for putting up with my crankiness at times.
- To my friends, for being there for me [yeah yeah cliche]. Albeit we’re separated by great distance, I know I can always count on you guys. This has been a tough year especially with my aunt Jul’s passing away.
- And to y’all for taking the time to read this crap.
By the way, I did not celebrate Thanksgiving. My mom, stepdad, and Rizza went over to our family friend’s place. Erick and I stayed home and had a movie-thon. My friends say I’m such a wet blanket. What’s the big deal with these celebrations? I don’t even celebrate my birthday. I think, Thanksgiving, just like any other celebrations, is just an excuse… so that people wont have to feel guilty… yah know, about stuffing their faces with so much food. Just a theory. What’s annoying is when after Thanksgiving, I hear people whining about gaining 5 lbs or whatever. Get a grip… If you don’t want to gain weight, then don’t hog on the turkey or the pumpkin pie! diba diba diba?
Yun lang po… and I hope y’all had a fun Thanksgiving.
